1. Scope of Practice

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) & Acupuncture
As a Licensed Acupuncturist and Doctor of Chinese Medicine, I provide:
• Acupuncture
• Plum Blossom
• Cupping
• Gua Sha
• Tui Na (TCM bodywork)
• TCM diagnostic assessment
• Lifestyle, dietary, and movement recommendations
• Herbal medicine recommendations

Important notes:
• I diagnose and assess patterns according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, not Western biomedical standards.
• Acupuncture and TCM do not replace the care of a primary care provider or specialist.
• You agree to maintain appropriate medical care from a licensed medical provider while receiving services here.
• I do not prescribe or adjust prescription medications.

2. Herbal Medicine Disclaimer

Herbal recommendations are based solely on Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and theory.
Please be aware:
• Herbs may interact with medications.
• Herbs may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• You are responsible for consulting your primary care provider about potential interactions or contraindications.
• Herbal remedies provided are not evaluated or approved by the FDA.
• Herbal consultations are not medical diagnosis or medical treatment.

You agree to take herbs as directed and report any unexpected symptoms.

3. Energy Work & Intuitive Services Disclaimer

Reiki, intuitive guidance sessions, and intuitive mentorship are complementary wellness services.
They are not:
• Medical diagnosis
• Medical treatment
• A substitute for mental health care
• A guarantee of outcome

These services support emotional, spiritual, and energetic well-being.
Patients and clients engaging in intuitive or energy work acknowledge that all intuitive insights are for personal reflection only and are not predictive, diagnostic, or determinative.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health crisis, please seek licensed medical or psychological care.

4. Telehealth Policy

Telehealth sessions (herbal consultations, mentorship, intuitive guidance, free consultations) are conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms.

During telehealth sessions:
• Assessment is provided within the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine, not Western medical diagnosis.
• Telehealth is not appropriate for urgent or emergency concerns.
• You must ensure a private, quiet space for the session.
• Sessions are not recorded without explicit written consent.

You understand that telehealth has limitations and may require in-person follow-up.

5. Privacy & Confidentiality

Divine Inner Work complies with all HIPAA regulations.
Your health information is securely stored in JaneApp, a HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system.

Your information is confidential except in the following cases:
• Threat of harm to self or others
• Abuse or neglect disclosures involving children or vulnerable adults
• Court order, subpoena, or legal mandate
• When you provide written consent to release information

For intuitive or mentorship sessions, confidentiality follows the same standards.

6. Safety & Emergency Disclaimer

Divine Inner Work does not provide emergency medical or mental health services.
If you are experiencing any of the following, please seek immediate care:
• Chest pain, difficulty breathing, or symptoms of stroke
• Suicidal thoughts or intent
• Severe allergic reactions
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• Acute trauma or injury
• Any medical condition requiring urgent attention
